I’m 14 years old and I weigh 130 pounds and I am 5″ 9′ tall. When I shoot the basketball, most of the times my support hand makes the ball curve and I miss by a lot. So I was wondering what I could do to help control my support hand?
Also about the jumping, I try to jump high then shoot, but the basketball is always over my head and my elbows are kind of straight before I release, and I miss most of the times too. So, I was wondering about those questions.
And also, should I hold my shooting hand at the very bottom or slightly below the middle of the basketball?
I practice and work on my basketball shooting technique everyday, but when I practice and shoot wrong, that won’t help me at all.
I just thought of another thing, I can never seem to get the basketball to spin correctly. I line my fingers on the horizontal line and make sort of a “U” with my thumb but the basketball never seems to curve, and when I try to make it curve I always fall short of the rim.
